Design your own skirt, top, dress or trousers by learning dart manipulation, adding design details and understanding perfect fit.

There will be a different block each month. 

Each block will measure 12” square (finished size).

Each block will take 3 hours.

You can choose from the following blocks:

The resulting sampler quilt will comprise: 4 blocks x 5 blocks (48” x 60”) plus border

The time needed for any of the above will vary, depending on your specific requirements and your sewing ability.

PLEASE NOTE:

Specific Skills and Techniques

Maximum of two students per session. 

Every attempt will be made to finish in the allocated time, but you may have to finish your project at home. This will depend on your skill level. 

PETS

 I have a small dog in my home; he is very friendly and sociable. Please let me know if you have any concerns about this so I can make suitable arrangements. 

ACCESS FOR ALL

Although my home is not wheelchair-friendly, I am happy to teach all students in a situation which will suit you best. This may include coming to you, online etc.

What You'll Need To Bring

  

For all classes, you need to bring:

  • Notepad and pen/pencil
  • Basic sewing kit (scissors, stitch ripper, pins, threads, needles)
  • Your own sewing machine, so you can learn all the facilities it has to offer *
  • Fabrics, notions (e.g. zip, buttons, elastic... etc) for your project. (You will be advised what to bring, when you book the class).

* If you cannot bring your own machine, you are welcome to borrow one of mine, but please mention this when you book.
