What you can look forward to doing

Learn the basics of your sewing machine / overlocker including threading your machine, maintenance and basic stitching. Finish your lesson by making a tote bag.

Create your own simple garments (e.g. top, skirt, shift dress), or homeware projects.

You will need to have basic sewing skills and be comfortable with using your machine.

Extend your sewing skills by learning to carry out alterations and create your own garments. Examples would be a skirt with pocket or a dress with a concealed zip and sleeves.

Lean the basics of pattern cutting through crafting your own basic skirt, top, dress or trouser block.

Learn how to piece together different patchwork designs to achieve a crisp, professional finish.

Learn basic quilting techniques

and extend your quilting skills.
